Maria is Co-Head of Ratings and Opinions, EMEA & APAC at Sustainable Fitch and joined Fitch Group in September 2019. She has over 20 years of experience in financial services across debt funding, capital markets, corporate banking, and structured finance, gained with international financial institutions. In her current role, she is responsible for sustainability ratings for entities and debt issuances, as well as second-party opinions in EMEA, and more recently, APAC. She was a member of the working group led by the International Capital Market Association for the development of social bonds. Maria holds an MBA from HEC School of Management, France, an MSc in Finance, and a certificate in ESG Investing from the CFA Institute. She has worked in three countries and speaks several languages.
