From principles to practices: Sustainable actions for future generations

 

Asia Sustainability Conference returns this year as a hybrid conference, bringing together business leaders, sustainability practitioners, and policymakers from Hong Kong and across the region to discuss and debate how we can change the way we do things today to protect our planet and improve lives and livelihoods. Over the course of two days, experts will deliberate on key issues, growth opportunities, and urgent priorities in sustainable technology and investing for good.

Panel: Is it possible to measure the impact of green bonds in Asia?
Green bonds in Asia are not created the same. Critics have said that the measurement and disclosure of Asian green bonds' impacts are not aligned. Some green bonds fail to embrace the Green Bond Principles to utilise a green bond framework or an external review. Against this background, how can green bond issuances ease investors’ minds?  How can investors assess the bond’s impact and track funds for environmental projects? How can green bonds demonstrate best practices and transparent green credentials? Should an annual impact report be mandatory for investors in the future?
